Current transformers to transform high level primary currents to low level
currents (usually 5 amperes) to meet the requirements of instruments, meters
and relays. The core is constructed of high grade, grain oriented, low loss
transformer steel with a heavy conformal epoxy coating to insure complete
insulation between the core and their windings. After the copper winding
is in place, the entire unit is encapsulated in black PVC plastic to form
a rigid unit, thoroughly sealed from the working environment. Current transformers
are available in single or multi-ratio types. Custom designs for special
electrical or mechanical requirements are available.
