The Coil Forming Machine preferred by world class manufacturing engineers.
The James Coil Former spreads heavy coils quickly, accurately and efficiently. Most of the labor -- and thinking -- is done by its pneumatic operation. Set-up is simple. There's plenty of power to spread the heaviest, most difficult coils. They're formed with the exact spread and pitch, reducing installation time in the stator or armature. You save time and money -- increase output. Used Correctly, the James Coil Former pays for itself. Rugged construction . . . Minimum maintenance. The Domestically Former is designed to be trouble-free. The Coil Former has few moving parts. Upkeep costs are low. Your first cost may be your last. (Click here or on photo for larger view.)
Radius nose sections of armature and stator coils accurately -- quickly-- easily. Eliminate slow, difficult, inaccurate and time consuming hand shaping. Fingertip control of powerful hydraulic tool gets the job done. The EMR Custom Equipment Hydraulic Radiusing Tool, answers a long recognized need for a tool to quickly and accurately form the radius in the nose sections of armature and stator coils in the coil spreader, eliminating slow, difficult and inaccurate hand shaping. Now in use in hundreds of manufacturing and repair operations, the Hydraulic Radiusing Tool utilizes 1500 psi pressure to form the radius of each nose section in only 4 or 5 seconds. This saves time, eliminates exhausting physical effort and produces coils of exceptional uniformity. One manufacturer reports forming armature coils with radial accuracy within ten thousandths of an inch.(Click here or on photo for larger view.)
Forms and spaces leads of lap wound armature coils with ease and accuracy. Eliminates difficult hand forming of heavy multiple conductor coil leads. Interchangeable lead spacers accommodate wide range of sizes and numbers of rectangular conductors. (Click here or on photo for larger view.)
Accumatic - Accurate and Automatic! Eliminate the time consuming manual wire cutting operation for armature coils. Saves time - saves money - increases production. Easily measures, straightens and cuts 25 pieces 36" long per minute. Straightening rollers - horizontal and vertical - forever eliminates bowed wires. Digital cut-to-length control assures accuracy to +/- 1/32".Cuts wire up to .625" wide by .250" thick - round wire also. (Click here or on photo for larger view.) If you manually cut wire to length, you cut yourself out of some of the pie you could be cutting by using the NEW EMR Custom Equipment E-740 Accumatic Wire Cutter. Having straight conductors eases every other operation in making an armature coil. Conductors fit together, form together and the result is a superior coil.
The Heavy Duty Wire Stripper is a free-standing floor unit that is completely self-contained. The HDWS is powered by two (2) 3-phase 3/4 HP-TEFC motors that drive the two (2) brush mandrels individually. The lower set of brushes and mandrel are stationary. The upper set of brushes and mandrel are mounted on a pivoting arm, and is easily adjustable by two (2) hand knobs visible at the top of the wire stripper. This allows the operator to easily adjust for heights and widths of coil leads being stripped. Satisfied EMR Custom Equipment customers worldwide are using the HDWS for stripping round wire as well as rectangular wire. All types of insulation, including fiberglass and cotton are removed efficiently. (Click here or on photo for larger view.)
Forms a wide range of strap copper conductors for: hairpin loops, double knuckle coils, multiple turn coils, interpole coils, rectangular coils, and S-bends. Versatile Bender -- includes 14 forming pins and adapter sets from 1/4" to 2-3/8" diameter. Conductors ranging from .020" x .125" to as heavy as.385" x 1.125" have been formed and in one instance24 conductors, .025" x .125" arranged four deep by six wide were formed.
